Quick Compress Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 3, 2026
This policy covers Quick Compress ("the App"), the photo and video compression app for iPhone published by the developer of QuickTUI.
Summary
Quick Compress does not collect, upload or share any personal data. It has no account, no servers of its own, and no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or other third-party SDKs. Your photos and videos are compressed on your iPhone and never leave it because of the App.
On-Device Processing
All compression happens locally on your device. While a compression queue runs, the App keeps the queue state and temporary working files in its own private storage on your iPhone; each temporary file is deleted as soon as its compressed result is saved to your photo library. Compressed copies keep the original metadata, such as capture date and location, and are saved only to your own photo library.
Photo Library Access
The App asks for two photo library permissions:
- Read access, to list your photos and videos, show their sizes, and compress the items you select.
- Add access, to save the compressed photos and videos to your photo library.
You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Originals Stored in iCloud Photos
If an original you select is stored in iCloud Photos and not on your device, the system's Photos framework (PhotoKit) downloads it from iCloud so it can be compressed. This download is handled by iOS under your Apple Account and Apple's terms. The App itself makes no network requests and sends nothing to the developer or any other party.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App posts a local notification on your device when a compression queue that continued in the background has finished, showing how much space was saved. While compression continues in the background, its progress is shown in the system's background task indicator. These notifications and progress updates are generated on your device and never pass through any server.
Deleting Originals
The App never deletes anything on its own. Originals are kept by default. They are deleted only when you tap Delete Originals (删除原件) on the results screen and then confirm in the system's confirmation dialog. Deleted items move to the Recently Deleted album in Photos, where you can recover them until they are permanently removed.
Children's Privacy
The App collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
This Website
This page is hosted on quicktui.ai. How the website itself handles visits is described in the quicktui.ai Privacy Policy; it does not apply to data in the App, because the App collects none.
