Open source tools for working with coding agents
QuickTUI puts the coding agents on your computer in your pocket. These open source projects come from the same daily work: Kander coordinates several agents at once, and ste-zh makes their reports easy to check.
Both projects are MIT licensed, are maintained by dualface, the developer of QuickTUI, and work without the QuickTUI app. They are separate from QuickTUI, which is a commercial app.
At a glance
| Project | What it does | Type | License |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kander | Runs several coding agents in parallel from a kanban board, with independent review and delivery gates | CLI and terminal board (Go) | MIT |
| ste-zh | Makes an agent report in clear, unambiguous Chinese, based on the principles of ASD-STE100 | Agent skill | MIT |
Projects
- Kander
- A rule-driven kanban board for coding agents. Each task gets its own git worktree and terminal, and a different agent reviews the work before it is delivered. By October 2026 it had completed 2,477 task cards across 5 projects, 1,980 of them on QuickTUI itself.
- ste-zh
- A skill that changes how an agent writes to you, not what it does. Reports lead with the conclusion, use fixed status words, and keep "finished" separate from "verified".
How they fit with QuickTUI
Kander runs each task in a tmux window or Herdr tab, and QuickTUI opens those same sessions on iPhone, iPad and Android. You can leave several agents working and check on them from your phone. There is no dedicated integration: QuickTUI simply shows the terminals Kander creates. See Run Kander from your phone.
ste-zh helps on a small screen too: when each report opens with the result, you can check several agents without scrolling through their working notes.
